My review:
I loved this book. It is the first book I have read by CA Harms and I fell in love. She weaves with words a tale of loss, forgiveness, and personal growth. This is a beautiful different romance.

It was heart wrenching. You could really feel Kori's emotions and devastation. It hurt me emotionally and I felt as if I was living in Kori's skin. She is a heroine for the real world. I loved how she was written and portrayed.  Her raw emotions will grip you.

Kori had her heart broken by her high school sweetheart so she decided to move away for college. Once at college she meets a man who treats her and loves her how she should be. A tragic accident brings Kori back to her hometown to start anew. Once there her ex sweetheart Reed is always there. Making her emotions run even more wild.

Reed is a man looking for forgiveness from the one that got away. Kori's return home is bittersweet as he struggles to make amends with her as well as give her space to deal with her very real, raw and recent demons. It kills Reed to watch Kori hurt and not be able to do anything to help her. His one big mistake may cost him his former best friend/lover forever.

This book was a wonderful read. Different and deals with real situations. Bring out the tissues you'll need them!

The Three Types of Dashes

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I had no clue there were three types of dashes let alone their names and proper usage. I am glad I came across this nifty graphic that explained it to me. I think I will be making more of an effort to use the proper dashes. (this graphic is from nicolesteffen.com)

The Cowboy's Gamble by Janelle Denison Blog Tour by NK Author Services

The Cowboy's Gamble
By Janelle Denison

Genre: Western Romance

Tour Organizer: N K Author Services

Eleven years ago Seth O'Connor left Josie McAllister brokenhearted.  But now the sexy, smooth talking cowboy is on her doorstep, with a legal document that laid claim not only to McAllister property but to Josie, as well.

Learning that her father had gambled away not just the family ranch, but Josie's future on one game of cards has her fighting to safeguard her home, along with protecting her daughter from a past filled with painful secrets between her and Seth.

But this cowboy is determined to claim what is now rightfully his, and Josie has a difficult choice to make.  She can either give up her home to her family nemesis, or marry a man she'd taught herself to hate….

My Review:

This book was really well written. It was not your typical Western Romance story line. I was interested in it from the first page. Ms. Denison has a wonderful style of writing that draws you in and makes you feel like you are there with the characters.

Josie and Seth's journey was not an easy one. I appreciated this as it made the story more believable and realistic. The reactions of the characters fit with what someone would really do or say. Josie is a strong heroine that is likeable with out being over bearing and real. She is someone you can look up to. Seth is still your swoon worthy cowboy but like Josie his character was written realistically. His responses are typical male and age appropriate during the different points of the story.

You really feel for them and your heart is taken on a roller coaster ride. Your emotions will be invested into this story. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes romance and HEA's that are real. I definitely had a book hangover after this story.  I am a new fan for sure of Ms. Denison.

An anagram is a way to rearrange letters in a word or sentence to make different word/sentence using all of the original letters just once. For example two/tow; study/dusty; and finally relay/early.

And of course now I must torment the people in my life with anagrams as a way to text :-)
